The new C4 Fuego VGR (variable geometry rails) blade offers a 40% increase in structural strength compared to the standard T-300 model. With a standard carbon blade the outer layer is subjected to a wider curvature and stretching than the inner layer which is subjected to more compression, consequently increasing the cause of breakage. Thanks to the new flexible fibers the new T-700 offers 40% higher tensile strength thus avoiding breakage due to high external stretching and high internal compression. The C-4 Fuego VGR blade extends all the way to the heel which distributes the flex and the weight load to which it is subjected. This ensures the best degree of performance coupled with lightweight structural resistance.

A soft blade will complement a dive in not too deep water where a sudden burst of speed is always required thus offering a relaxed and comfortable dive and good management of precious oxygen. A harder blade will give the extra boost of power required from a hurried ascent in deep water or from a sudden change of direction or a swift U turn. In these occurrences a hard blade will offer the best chance for a safer and more productive dive. Nonetheless a hard blade will take its toll on oxygen supply with only a moderate increase in speed and overall performance.
